Backyard Games/ Shuttle Run
K-6
This week we are teaching different backyard games to our students. Some of the games include Corn Hole, Ladder Golf, Potato Sack Races, Horseshoes, and Washers. We also incorporated mini golf as well. Since the weather is going to start getting warmer we want to give our students some different activities that they can play outside.
We are also administering a fitness test this week. The fitness test is the Shuttle Run. The Shuttle Run assesses the students' agility or how fast they can change direction. Agility is a skill that almost every sport uses. This is one of the many skills that we assess.
Next week grades 3-6 will be working on volleyball skills. The younger grades will be working on lower level volleyball skills with the use of a beach ball.
